About The Stock Market Practice Account

Here are the key things to know about your practice account.

  • Students may trade from a list of 48 of the most popular U.S. stocks, as well as many bonds and mutual funds
  • Initial Cash Balance of a virtual $3,750
  • Weekly extra deposit of $50 per week
  • Trading starts November 14, 2022
  • You may not day trade, buy on margin or sell short
  • There is no commission charged per trade
  • All trades require you to write a brief desription (ie, a Trade Note) as to why you are choosing each stock
  • Cash that is not invested in stocks will earn 2% APR
  • Maximum number of trades allowed is 100 trades
