Alpine Credit Union Financial Skills Challenge Fall 2025

ATTENTION: All High School and Middle School Teachers in Alpine and Nebo School Districts!

Register your students for free for the Alpine Credit Union Financial Skills Challenge that starts October 1, 2025.

Alpine Credit Union is generously providing access to PersonalFinanceLab to all teachers in the Alpine and Nebo School Districts for the next 3 years. To take advantage of this exciting sponsorship, we encourage all teachers to register student accounts for the Fall 2025 Challenges:

This offer is exclusively for students and teachers in Alpine and Nebo School Districts.

This Fall 2025, there will actually be 2 distinct challenges in which your students can participate. You may register your students for either one or both of them. Please note that TEACHERS REGISTER THEIR CLASSES AND REQUEST STUDENT ACCOUNTS. STUDENTS DO NOT REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY.

The first challenge is a Financial Literacy Challenge and the other is an Investing Challenge. The classroom of the top student in each Challenge will win prizes for their classroom. Learn more below and then register your students!

Financial Literacy Challenge

In the Financial Literacy Challenge, students will login to PersonalFinanceLab and they will be given a scenario where have graduated from school, have a full time job, and are living on their own. They will have to form a monthly budget and then start playing a game where life’s random events challenge them to stock to their budget and save. They will learn banking, budgeting, credit, and debt management skills in this Financial Literacy Challenge. This Challenge lasts for 12 virtual months and the students will see their Game Score which is a combination of their savings goals, their ability to reach those savings goals, their credit score, their quality of life, and their overall net worth.

Investing Challenge

In the Investing Challenge, your students will be given a virtual $100,000 in cash and as they login to PersonalFinanceLab, they will have a virtual brokerage account where they will learn investing skills with stocks, ETFs, bonds and mutual funds. Their trades will be at real-time prices and their portfolios and rankings will be updated continuously throughout the day. The students will be competing for prizes for their classroom, and bragging rights amongst themselves.

Challenge Dates

Both Challenge start October 1, 2025 and will conclude on December 12, 2025. To put
your students head-to-head against other schools for the prizes and championship
trophies, just register your class for the challenge!

Challenges Start October 1, 2025 to December 12, 2025

Alpine Credit Union recognizes the importance of financial literacy education and the need for quality financial literacy tools and resources in the classroom. Alpine Credit Union is sponsoring individual teachers, and their classes, with access to the entire PersonalFinanceLab platform. This includes the Stock Game, Budget Game, and entire Library of Lessons, free of charge, for at least the next three years.
